Back from London

3 days and 2 nights in London went very quick. We stayed at the Radison Hampshire at Leicester Square again which is great because it is just in the centre and walking distance to Convent Garden, Oxford Street, Soho - the best shopping, bars, casinos, theathres, shows and restaurants. I have just unpacked my suitcase with my shopping. Lots of underwear, tights and leggins and also some dresses, tops and earings. And a robe. And a beatiful beatiful new handbag from Ted Baker that my husband bought me for our 6 months wedding anniversary on 25 August.

Nice to be back to Jersey again after our mini break. It is still summer and warm here but it is getting darker in the evenings and the autumn is approaching. Looking forward to start my studies again and have signed up for a new course, Applied Business Law which starts in just  weeks. Also look forward to getting back into routine with the gym and aims to go down 2 dress sizes, back to where I was about 2 years ago. It is easy to gain weight when you marry a chef that wines and dines you... and when you love chocoloate, cheese and wine.

Eating in London

We always eat lots whenever we go to London... here is a list of my favorite places to eat, my London guide;

Breakfast
I love hotel breakfasts in Sweden or abroad but not when I'm in the UK as they mainly eat bacon, egg and sausages which I'm not a huge fan of. I love eggs Benedict, smoked salmon or French/Italian pastries for breakfast, or Swedish smorgasbord. In London my favorite breakfast places are Carluccio's or Tom's kitchen.

Lunch
Both me and Dave loves sushi and always go to Yo Sushi in Selfridges for lunch. They have a great food hall there and also have a place with salt beef sandwiches which are yummy. So on Sunday we had sushi and on monday we went for our other favourite; Dim Sums. There are lots of places in China Town but this time we went to a little trendier place called Yauatcha. Food was amazingly good and they also have amazing cakes, desserts and macaroons.

Dinner
We had a lovely meal at the Square, a restaurant with two Michelin stars. We also went to see the restaurant we're planning to visit next time, sketch. Other nice restaurants we have been to for dinner is Joel Robuchon and Tom Aitkens.

Happy Jubilee day

Back home after two very good days in London. It was amazing to see and experience the jubilee celebrations. Everyone is included and people all over London is wearing the flag and all stores, from the high end to the high street are showing red, blue and white in the windows. What a party.
